‘Fake LeBron walked pass me and said nothing’ – Kanter

Boston Celtic center Enes Kanter is not backing down on his war of word with Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James after calling the American fake.

Kanter in a tweet targeted at LeBron James, Nike and China accused the former Cleveland star of prioritising money over morals.

He called out LeBron James for his relationship with Nike despite the company’s alleged use of slave labour in China to produce its goods.

“Money over Morals for the “King”, ” Tweeted Kanter on Thursday.

“Sad and disgusting how these athletes pretend they care about social justice

“They really do “shut up & dribble” when Big Boss China says so

“Did you educate yourself about the slave labour that made your shoes or is that not part of your research?”

LeBron James, on the other hand, hit back at Kanter saying that he is not going to waste his energy on someone trying to use his name to create a name for himself.

James said that as a man he expects Kanter to come up to him and discuss the issue face-to-face rather than directing words every now and then.

LeBron James revealed that Kanter had the opportunity to talk to him about the issue Friday night when the Lakers locked horns against the Celtics at TD Garden in Boston.

James said he saw Kanter in the hallway but the Turkish-American just walked right by him without speaking a word.

This has led to the fresh outburst from Kanter who called LeBron fake.

“I had so many conversations with LeBron James’ ex-teammates. And even they are the one telling me that LeBron, all he’s doing is just his own PR. And everything he’s doing, trying to stand up for things, is not that he really feels about it. But he cares about his PR more than anything,” Kanter said.

“First of all, he was behind me in the tunnel and I stopped to take pictures with one of the kids. I wasn’t the one that right passed him. He was the one that literally walked right by me and did not say anything.”
