Fatai Osho reveals desire to make Akwa United FC fans happy

After a slow start to the season which has left fans of Akwa United FC sad, Head Coach, Fatai Osho has revealed a desire to turn things around to make the club fans happy.

Akwa United FC have not won in three games and so occupy bottom spot in the Nigeria Premier Football League standings.

A 5-3 opening day loss at Bayelsa United FC was followed by a 0-0 home draw vs Sporting Lagos FC before a 3-2 loss to Enyimba FC in Aba, last weekend.

As he prepares for the week four clash vs Shooting Stars at the teams alternate home ground, Osho is desperately looking for a turnaround to make the fans happy.

He told CompleteSports; ” Of course, we are being paid to get points for them, they deserve to be worried. The onus is on us to turn things around quickly enough to make them happy.

” We are the ones that are being paid, those supporters are not being paid. The joy they derive from this is when we win. So, of course, they are not happy that we lost. We have to work hard and make them happy.”

On how his charges can make the fans happy, the former Enyimba FC Coach said ” By winning exactly, by just winning. ”

Osho added ” At the risk of sounding proud or bragging, we have played three matches and no team has outplayed us. We exhibited how a typical Nigerian team should play on the road and scoring five goals on the road is unprecedented. ”
