FC Lorient star completes Premier League move
FC Lorient have confirmed the sale of Burkinabe youngster Dango Ouattara to Premier League outfit AFC Bournemouth on a long-term deal. The winger joined the Cherries for around £20 million on a five-and-a-half year deal, becoming the most expensive player from Burkina Faso.
Ouattara has had an impressive season in orange for FC Lorient. The 20-year-old winger has been on fire in Ligue 1 this season, with six goals and five assists to his name. He originally joined the club in 2020 from Burkinabe outfit Majestic SD before making his debut in the 2021-22 season.
Ouattara is a full Burkina Faso international with ten caps to his name. The winger was part of the squad that finished fourth at the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon. He has four international goals to his name.
Ouattara is expected to be joined in the Premier League very soon by former FC Lorient teammates Enzo Le Fee and Terem Moffi, with the pair also courting interest from English sides. The pacey winger will sport the number 11 jersey for the Cherries as they look to him for inspiration to remain in the Premier League beyond this season.
