FC ONE Rocket players praised for performance in Rivers United FC draw
FC ONE Rocket head coach, Ndubisi Ndah has praised his players for their performance in a 2-2 draw with former Nigerian Champions, Rivers United at the ongoing Tico/Select Pre-season Tournament.
The Indomitables came back twice to take home a valuable point at the Uyo Township Stadium, Thursday, thanks to Onotu Emmanuel’s brace that cancelled out goals from Alex Oyowah and Ukeme Williams, and Ndah is delighted with the effort.
“For me, it’s a good game for the boys. It’s a good test for all of them that have played and I have seen lots of what I want to see in footballers , and I have more to see because I still have more players that are here screening.
“I praise them for their effort. I thank them for their resilience… whatever they put in, I really appreciate what they do. So I am very happy with the outcome of the match and I am satisfied with the players I have so far.”
Speaking further, Ndah describes the Tico/Select Pre-season Tournament as a good challenge to prepare for the 2023/2024 Nigeria National League (NNL) season, where he aims for a better outing after narrowly missing out on promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League last season.
“It is giving me the right challenge and I believe that what we are assembling will give us the link to go higher and achieve our goal.”
Up next for FC ONE Rocket at the Tico/Preseason Tournament is a clash with Abia Warriors on Thursday by 10am at the Uyo Township Stadium.
