Federation Cup: Eagle Eye Academy spank 7th Wonders Academy 6-0 in Akwa Ibom
Eagle Eye Academy delivered a dominant performance, thrashing 7th Wonders Academy 6-0 to secure a place in the semi-finals of the 2025 Akwa Ibom Federation Cup.
The match began cautiously, with both teams sharing possession and struggling to create clear chances. However, from the 30th minute onwards, Eagle Eye Academy took control, dictating play and pressing forward. Their efforts paid off just before half-time when Kenneth Chiemerie tapped in the opening goal, giving his side a 1-0 lead at the break.
The second half was completely one-sided, with Eagle Eye Academy in full command. Onyeka Henry doubled the lead before Francis Izuchukwu added another to make it 3-0. Chidera Udiegwe then struck a stunning goal, followed by Emmanuel Oliver’s effort. Team captain Osita Favour rounded off the emphatic win with a brilliant finish in the closing minutes.
With this convincing victory, Eagle Eye Academy have booked their place in the semi-finals, where they will face the winner of Tuesday’s quarter-final clash between Dakkada FC and Heavens Race Academy.
Dakkada FC and Heavens Race Academy will lock horns in the last quarter-final game on Tuesday, 11 February 2025, at 3 pm at the Uyo Township Stadium.
In the other completed matches of the 2025 Akwa Ibom Federation Cup, Godswill Akpabio United FC thrashed Regnant Academy 6-0, while Akwa United FC defeated Pillars Investors Academy 3-1 to set up what promises to be a crunch semi-final fixture as the race for a place in the final on 23 February 2025 heats up.
