Felix Anyansi Agwu returns as Enyimba’s Club Chairman
The board of Enyimba Football Club has passed a Vote of Confidence on the chairman, Chief Felix Anyansi Agwu during a board meeting held at the Club Headquarters in Aba.
Despite playing home games at the UJ Esuene Stadium in Calabar, Enyimba rallied to secure a place in next year’s CAF Confederation Cup, finishing just five points off the top of the table.
In light of this, the board was united in its decision that Anyansi Agwu continues in his role as Chairman, and pledged their full support going forward.
One of the club directors Obioma, speaking on behalf of the other Directors present said: “I confirm that the entire Enyimba board unanimously passed a Vote of Confidence on our Chairman, Chief Felix Anyansi Agwu. Without a man like him, it would have been very difficult, if not impossible, for Enyimba to escape relegation.
“All the indices and precautions he put in place to ensuren that was not the case proves that he is the man we need, and we equally give him all the support he needs for the club to achieve the next level.”
Responding, Chief Anyansi Agwu expressed gratitude to the Board for their decision, and vowed to continue working assiduously toward justifying their trust in his abilities.
“I am deeply grateful to our esteemed Directors for this honour they have bestowed on me. It is a privilege to lead, and a responsibility that I do not take lightly. With your support, I am confident we will actualize all our goals, not just in this coming season, but beyond.”
