Fenerbahçe facing difficult times with Bright Osayi-Samuel negotiation
Fenerbahçe is currently facing difficulties in contract talks with Nigerian defender Bright Osayi-Samuel due to disagreements over salary demands.
Osayi-Samuel, who joined the Turkish club in January 2021, quickly became an important player after transitioning from winger to right-back. His current contract runs until June 2025, but renewal discussions have stalled as the club and player are unable to agree on terms.
Reports suggest that Fenerbahçe is offering a salary of €2 million, while Osayi-Samuel is seeking a higher wage and a four-year deal. This difference has caused negotiations to be postponed, leaving both sides at a standstill.
Earlier in the summer, Osayi-Samuel had reportedly requested a move away from the club, but nothing materialized. The 26-year-old has made three appearances for Fenerbahçe this season, averaging 58 minutes per game.
Bright Osayi-Samuel has also attracted interest from clubs in England, including Southampton, Leeds United, and Norwich City, as well as French side RC Lens.
