Fenerbahce not planning bid for Nigerian winger Victor Moses
Fenerbahce have ruled out a potential summer move for Nigerian winger Victor Moses despite rumours linking the club with a bid for their former player.
Moses spent the 2019/2020 season at Fenerbahce. The winger made about 20 league appearances scoring 5 times during a season long loan.
With the 32-year old reportedly eyeing a transfer away from Russian Premier League side Spartak Moscow before the end of his contract in 2023/2024, Fenerbahce were touted as a possible destination but that will stay be wiped from the speculation zone.
This follows comments by a Member of the Board of Directors of Fenerbahce, Selahattin Baki who said the club is not looking to reinforce in that position.
“Personally, we are not interested in signing Victor Moses. We are not currently looking for a midfield player,” Baki told Sport Express.
Victor Moses has been on the books of Spartak Moscow since 2020, first on-loan before the club reached agreement with Chelsea to sign the Ex-Super Eagle on a permanent deal in July 2021.
Two years on, that relationship with “the peoples team” could end with reports from Russia suggesting Moses wants to leave Spartak Moscow this summer.
