Fenerbahce to Part Ways with Bright Osayi-Samuel at Season’s End
Fenerbahce have decided to end contract negotiations with Super Eagles star, Bright Osayi-Samuel, who will leave the club at the end of the season.
Jose Mourinho’s team has been in talks with Osayi-Samuel regarding a new contract since the start of the season, hoping to secure an extension before his current deal expires. However, despite their efforts, the club has been unable to meet the wage demands of the Nigerian player.
Osayi-Samuel, who is looking for a significant pay increase from his current salary of less than €3 million annually, has remained firm in his request. As a result, Fenerbahce have ended all negotiations and now accept that the winger will depart when his contract expires at the season’s close.
The 25-year-old has attracted interest from several mid-table Premier League clubs, including Crystal Palace and Fulham, with a move to England looking increasingly likely. Although Osayi-Samuel has not confirmed his next destination yet, an announcement is expected once the season ends.
