FIFA Celebrates Super Falcons After Historic 10th WAFCON Title

FIFA, the world football body, has praised the Super Falcons of Nigeria for winning their 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title.
The Nigerian team made history on Saturday with a stunning 3-2 comeback win against Morocco, the host country, in the final match played at the Stade Olympique in Rabat.
The Super Falcons were losing 2-0 at halftime but came back strong in the second half under coach Justin Madugu. Their incredible performance helped them lift the WAFCON trophy once again.
FIFA shared their excitement on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), writing:

A Decade of Success
Nigeria has now won 10 out of the 13 WAFCON tournaments – showing their long-time dominance in women’s football across Africa.
During this year’s tournament in Morocco, Nigeria also stood out in individual awards.

Chiamaka Nnadozie was awarded Best Goalkeeper.
