The Super Falcons of Nigeria stunned the world cup host, Matilda of Australia 3-2 to move to the top of Group B.
Emily Van Egmond scored the first goal of the game in the 45+2 of the game and Uchenna Kanu equalized before half time.
Osinachi Ohale gave Nigeria the lead in the second half, and few minutes after coming in, Asisat Oshoala scored Nigeria’s third.
Asisat Oshoala became the only Super Falcons player to have scored in three different world cups.
After additional 11 minutes, hosts, Australia got one back through Alanna Kennedy in the 90+10 minutes and the game ended at 90+13 minutes.
