Finidi George Opens Up On Shooting Stars Victory

Enyimba coach, Finidi George has revealed the reasons behind Enyimba’s 2-0 win over Shooting Stars in Aba on Wednesday.

Man of the moment, Emeka Obioma scored a brace in the encounter to hand the hosts the maximum points.

Finidi has lavished praises on his players for the impressive performance.

“It’s important to have a solid defence, hopefully, that will take us to where we wanted to be,” Finidi told the club’s media.

“They (defenders) have been solid. They are doing a good job. The whole team is doing well. That played a key role in our victory.”

Enyimba are in second in Group B four points adrift of Bendel Insurance.

The People’s Elephants have a date against unbeaten Bendel Insurance in Benin in their next NPFL game on Sunday.
