Finidi George plans squad changes for Super Eagles’ next match against Mali

The interim coach of the Super Eagles, Finidi George, has hinted at introducing new players into the starting lineup for their upcoming match against Mali on Monday.

This decision follows Nigeria’s 2-1 triumph over Ghana in an international friendly held on Friday.

During the match against Ghana, notable players like Wilfred Ndidi, Cyriel Dessers, Kelechi Ihenacho, and Bright Osayi-Samuel were among those who started against the Black Stars. Additionally, Benjamin Tanimu made his debut for Nigeria, starting in the defense lineup.

In anticipation of the clash with Mali, Finidi George disclosed plans for adjustments in the squad

“Definitely, we are going to see new players. Definitely, we cannot overload the players. Some will come in, and we will see the areas where they can help,” stated Finidi, as reported by NFF TV.

With the coach’s strategic adjustments, fans eagerly anticipate how the Super Eagles will fare against Mali in their next encounter.
