Fisayo Dele-Bashiru joins Turkish Club Hatayaspor
Former Manchester City U-23 star Fisayo Dele-Bashiru has joined Turkish side Hatayspor after completing his routine medical.
Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, SportsRation gathered has put pen to paper on a 3-year deal from English Championship side Sheffield Wednesday.
The 22-year old is of Nigerian midfielder and has elected to continue his career in Turkey after spending his entire career in England.
Dele represented Manchester City U-23 and never made a senior until his transfer to Sheffield Wednesday in July 2020.
After helping Sheffield Wednesday win the League One Promotion Playoff and secure English Championship return. The midfielder had an effective cameo role in the play-off final where helped create Josh Windass’ winning goal at Wembley against Barnsley.
Fisayo leaves the Owls where he racked 86 appearances to his name, including 42 starts, picking up 11 goals and assists along the way.
Dele-Bashiru will be part of a rebuild at Hatayspor as they look to recover from the devastation caused by the terrible earthquake in February, an earthquake that tragically took the lives of almost 60,000 people – including their player, Christian Atsu, and sporting director, Taner Savut.
He is a brother to Nigeria Youth International Tom Dele-Bashiru.
