Fit-again Nigerian defender Olisa Ndah is in the Orlando Pirates team list for the CAF Confederation Cup clash vs Jwayeng Galaxy in Botswana.
Olisa Ndah has endured a long battle with injury, first sustained in November 2022, one that truncated a proposed winter transfer to Italian Serie A side Sassuolo
The former Akwa United FC man returned to play in February’s Soweto derby vs local rivals Kaizer Chiefs but left the pitch at full-time, injured again.
Ndah is fit again and was named in Pirates travelled squad for the CAF Confederation Cup second qualifying round first leg clash vs Jwayeng Galaxy at the Botswana National Stadium in Gabarone, Botswana on Sunday September 17, 2023.
To reach this round, Orlando Pirates defeated Comoros outfit Djabal 4-0 in the preliminary round.
Coach Jose Riveiro of Orlando Pirates will decide whether to gift the Nigerian International a start in a defence that also has Thabiso Monyane, Nkosinathi Sibisi, Tapelo Xoki, Paseka Mako and Sandile Mthethwa in contention.
