Five players Chelsea willing to sell this summer?
Chelsea are reportedly prepared to sanction the exits of five of their players this summer excluding midfield pair of Ngolo Kante and Jorginho whom are being courted by various top clubs.
The Blues are expected to be active in the upcoming transfer market despite the financial impact of the coronavirus outbreak, which has caused havoc across the sport.
According to ESPN, the Premier League club want to ‘bolster their budget’ by sanctioning the sales of as many as five first-team players during this summer’s transfer window.
The players the club is reportedly open to part with are: Tiemoue Bakayoko, Marcos Alonso, Emerson Palmieri, Michy Batshuayi and Davide Zappacosta this summer.
Bakayoko has spent the 2019-20 campaign on loan at Monaco and is expected to move on ahead of next season, while full-backs Alonso and Emerson have been consistently linked with exits over the last few weeks.
The report claims that Batshuayi, who has only scored once in 16 Premier League appearances this season, is also surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge.
Zappacosta, meanwhile, joined Roma on loan last summer but has been on the sidelines since last October, having undergone an operation on a serious knee injury he suffered in training for the Italian side.
Good move by the club?
