Flamingos arrive host country for 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup

The Nigeria U-17 women’s football team, known as the Flamingos, have arrived in Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic, for the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

The team, made up of 21 players, coaching staff, and officials from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), are among the 24 teams set to compete in the tournament, which runs from October 16 to November 3, 2024.

The Flamingos have settled into their training camp and started preparations ahead of their group stage matches. They will play several warm-up games during their two-week training tour in Santo Domingo.

Nigeria has been placed in Group A alongside Ecuador, New Zealand, and the Dominican Republic. Their first match will be against New Zealand on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.
