Flamingos Thrash Solo Wonder Babes 7-0 Ahead of Guinea Clash

Nigeria’s U-17 women’s team, the Flamingos, continued their impressive preparations for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers with a big 7-0 win over Solo Wonder Babes on Friday.
The Flamingos dominated the match from the start and went into the break with a comfortable 3-0 lead after a strong attacking display.
Mary Dunstan opened the scoring in the 35th minute before netting her second goal six minutes later to put Nigeria in full control. Queen Joseph added the third goal in the 42nd minute to complete an excellent first-half performance.
The team continued their attacking pressure in the second half as Patra scored from the penalty spot in the 53rd minute. Just a minute later, Ebube made it 5-0.
Wuraola Olayiwola also found the net in the 77th minute, while Mmesoma completed the rout with another goal in the 86th minute.
The huge victory will give the Flamingos more confidence as they continue preparations for their important World Cup qualifying match against Guinea.
The team is expected to travel to Ikenne on Sunday, May 10, 2026, for the next stage of their training programme ahead of the qualifier.
