Flying Eagles star Benjamin Fredrick to join Brentford FC
Flying Eagles star Benjamin Fredrick will join Brentford FC from Kaduna-based outfit Simoiben FC.
As per Pulse Sports , the defender, one of Nigeria’s standout players at the FIFA U-20 World Cup will join the Bees on a one-year loan with an option to buy.
Fredrick was rock-solid in Nigeria’s run to the quarter-finals at the 2023 FIFA Under-20 World Cup.
The Flying Eagles star flew into the United Kingdom on Sunday and had a mandatory medical on Monday.
Benjamin Fredrick also met with compatriot Frank Onyeka, who stars in midfield for Brentford FC and the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
18-year-old Fredrick will now put pen to paper before formal announcement of the deal.
The Nigerian Youth International will also file for a UK work visa and other regulatory processes to be able to work for the Bees.
Per the financial terms, Simoiben FC will receive no fee for the loan.
Back in June, Brentford FC acquired the services of another 2023 U-20 World Cup star, Korea youth international defender Ji-Soo Kim from K League Two side Seongnam.
