Footballer Ethan McLeod dies in car accident at 21

Macclesfield FC have announced the death of their 21-year-old forward, Ethan McLeod, following a car accident.

The club said Ethan was involved in a fatal accident on the M1 on Tuesday night while travelling back from Bedford Town.

In a statement, Macclesfield FC described Ethan as a talented and highly respected member of the first-team squad, with a bright future ahead of him.

They said he was also known for his warm personality, which made him loved by teammates, staff and everyone he met.

The club added that Ethan always gave his best and inspired others through his professionalism, strong work ethic and love for life, both on and off the pitch.

Macclesfield FC said the news of his death has left the entire club devastated and struggling to come to terms with the loss.

They noted that while the pain of losing him will never fully fade, Ethan’s impact and legacy at the club will always be remembered.

The club extended its deepest sympathy to Ethan’s family and friends and promised to offer them all possible support during this difficult time.

Macclesfield FC ended the statement by saying Ethan will always be remembered as a Silkman and will never be forgotten.
