Forgotten Super Eagles midfielder eyes revival at Serie C club

Forgotten Super Eagles midfilder, Joel Obi is set to join Serie C club Vis Pesaro on a permanent transfer. SportsRation reports.

This is according to Italian transfer expert, Gianluca Di Marzio, who said Vis Pesaro want to sign Joel Obi who is currently a free agent.

Vis Pesaro are fighting to escape relegation and believe Obi’s arrival will help boost their survival hopes.

The 32-year-old was once on the books of Italian clubs; Inter Milan, Parma, Torino, Chievo Verona, Salernitana and Reginna.

Plus a stint in the Turkish Super Lig with Alanyaspor.

Obi was part of Nigeria’s squad to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia and has seventeen caps for the Super Eagles.
