Former Super Falcons coach backs Janne Andersson for Super Eagles job

Former Super Falcons coach, Thomas Dennerby, has expressed his support for the reported appointment of Janne Andersson as the new head coach of the Super Eagles.

Dennerby praised Andersson, describing him as “a hardworking and humble coach.” He expressed confidence in Andersson’s ability to steer the Super Eagles’ campaign back on track. Dennerby’s endorsement comes amid reports that the former Sweden manager is set to take over the Nigerian national team.

While the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has not yet officially confirmed Andersson’s appointment, sources close to the federation indicate that an announcement is imminent.

If confirmed, Andersson will be tasked with leading the Super Eagles through the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
