France overtune two-goal deficit in five-goal thriller win against Belgium

Book UEFA Nations League final against Spain

France will play Spain in the final of the UEFA Nations League after securing a 3-2 comeback win on Thursday.

Les Bleus came victorious in a game of two halves with The Red Devils the better at half time.

Goals from Yannick Carrasco and Romelu Lukaku gave Belgium a comfortable 2-0 win at half time.

It was a different story in the second half as Karim Benzema pulled on back for the world champions early on after the restart.

Kylian Mbappe equalised for France after converting from the spot kick.

The penalty was given after VAR confirmed that Leicester City Youri Tielemans fouled Antione Griezmann in the box.

Romelu Lukaku scored what could have been the winning goal but it was ruled out for offside.

Four minutes after his goal was ruled out by VAR, Milan’s Theo Hernandez scored the winning goal in the 91st minute.

It was his first international goal and what a game he chose to score the goal.

France will now play Spain who defeated Italy 2-1 in the first semi-final played on Wednesday.

While Belgium and Italy will play for the Bronze medal.
