Francis Uzoho Pledges Support for Stanley Nwabali Ahead of Tanzania Clash
Super Eagles goalkeeper Francis Uzoho has reaffirmed his commitment to unity within the national team, saying he will fully support Stanley Nwabali if he is selected to start against Tanzania at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Nigeria will face the Taifa Stars of Tanzania in their next Group match, with competition still strong for the number one goalkeeper’s position.
Uzoho, who is based in Cyprus, recently returned to the Super Eagles squad after almost a year away. He stressed that the team’s success is more important than personal ambition.
“When Nwabali was chosen to be first choice, I had to support him. That is what I will do if he is still the one that will play,” Uzoho told Elegbete TV.
Stanley Nwabali has impressed in recent matches for the Super Eagles, earning praise for his calmness and consistency in goal.
