Francis Uzoho Wins Cypriot League Title With Omonia Nicosia

Super Eagles goalkeeper Francis Uzoho has won the 2025/26 Cypriot First Division title with AC Omonia after the club defeated Aris Limassol 3-0 on Saturday.
The victory handed Omonia their 22nd league title and ended a five-year wait for the championship, with their last success coming in 2021.
It is Uzoho’s first league title since joining the club permanently in 2021 and his third trophy overall with Omonia Nicosia.
The team has enjoyed an outstanding campaign and have now secured a place in the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League qualifiers. They will enter the competition from the second qualifying round.
Although Uzoho has mostly played as the second-choice goalkeeper this season, he performed well whenever he was given the chance.
The 27-year-old made five league appearances, keeping three clean sheets and conceding only three goals.
He also featured in the UEFA Conference League, where he kept two clean sheets in five matches.
In total, Uzoho has played 11 games in all competitions this season and recorded five clean sheets.
With four matches still remaining this season, the Nigerian goalkeeper will hope to get more playing time as Omonia finish a successful campaign.
