French star backs Hervé Renard to ignore Super Eagles links
Amid swirling speculations surrounding Hervé Renard’s future with the France national team, French star Kadidiatou Diani has come out in strong support of her manager, dismissing rumours of his imminent departure.
In a recent interview with AFP, Diani, unequivocally endorsed Renard, emphasising his dedication and professionalism to the national team.
She asserted that Renard remains fully focused on the team’s objectives whenever he is with them, dispelling any doubts about his commitment.
Renard, the current head coach of the France women’s team, has stated his intention not to extend his contract with the French Football Federation beyond the upcoming summer’s Olympics.
However, he remains steadfast in his commitment to lead the team through the Olympic Games on home soil.
Despite rumours suggesting otherwise, Renard has maintained his focus on the current team until the completion of his tenure.
Renard’s managerial prowess has attracted interest from various federations, including the Super Eagles of Nigeria, but he remains committed to his current role with the France women’s team.
Diani’s unwavering support for Renard echoes her trust in his leadership and the quality of work he has demonstrated during his tenure. She acknowledges the initial agreement for a short-term collaboration but emphasises their shared goal of success in the forthcoming Olympic Games.
“When he arrived, we already knew that he and his staff were there for a short period, but he put things in place and he did things really well. We will continue to work together for the last competition, the Olympic Games,” she said, per GFFN.
