Frustrating to give 100% in the game while 1 or 2 aren’t given their best – Plumptre Ashleigh
Ashleigh Plumptre has given her take on Super Falcons’ shocking 2-1 loss to South Africa in the Group C opening game at the Women African Cup of Nations.
The Leicester City defender who was on the pitch from beginning to end as the left full back gave his assessment of the game.

Plumptre who played in an unfamiliar position as the left full-back revealed she prefers to play as a central defender but would do anything the coach asked her to do.
The English-born defender also revealed that a few players were not giving their best.
“I preferred to play as center-back, but I will give 100% anywhere the coach plays me,” said Plumptre Ashleigh according to Tobi Samuel.
“It is frustrating to give 100% in the game while one or two aren’t given their best.”
The 9th-time champions and La Decima chasing Super Falcons will have a chance to redeem faces when the face table toppers Botswana on Thursday.
