Full List of Winners as CAF Announces 2025 Awards

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled the winners of the 2025 CAF Awards, recognising the continent’s top football performers in a ceremony held on Wednesday night.
Morocco dominated the honours, with several of their stars picking up major awards. Achraf Hakimi was crowned African Player of the Year, while Ghizlane Chebbak won the African Female Player of the Year, highlighting a remarkable night for Moroccan football.
In other categories, DR Congo’s Fiston Mayele clinched the Interclubs Player of the Year, and Morocco’s Yassine Bounou was named Best Goalkeeper. Nigeria’s Chiamaka Nnadozie continued her impressive rise after being voted Best Female Goalkeeper.
Young talents were also celebrated, with Morocco’s Othmane Maamma winning Best Young Player, while Doha El Madani was named Best Young Female Player.
Cape Verde’s national team coach, Bubista, earned Coach of the Year, and the Morocco U-20 side won Team of the Year. Nigeria’s women’s national team, the Super Falcons, were named Women’s Team of the Year after another strong year in African football.
Egyptian side Pyramids FC secured the Club of the Year title.
Referees were also honoured, with Somalia’s Omar Artan winning CAF Best Men’s Referee of the Year, and Uganda’s Shamirah Nabadda receiving CAF Best Women’s Referee of the Year.
CAF also presented its Outstanding Awards to three East African leaders: President William Ruto of Kenya, President Samia Suluhu Hassan of Tanzania, and President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda.
The CAF Goal of the Year award went to Tanzania’s Clément Mzize.
The ceremony once again celebrated excellence across African football, shining a spotlight on both established stars and emerging talents from across the continent.
