Sixteen teams divided into two Zones began the Journey Into the 2022 Akwa Ibom Grassroots Football league. After seven weeks of football, the top four in each Zone will face-off in the Super 8 Playoffs. We continue a review of the Journey of the Big Eight and attention is on Fullife Football Academy.
Newly formed Fullife Football Academy debuted in the league this season.
In the preliminary round , Fullife Football Academy played 7 matches, Won 4 , drew two and lost one game to eventual Uyo Zone toppers Eagle Eyes Academy who shared same number of points (14) but edged them courtesy of a single goal difference advantage.
One notable attribute of this team in the Preliminary round was the depth in their squad. Fullife Football Academy constantly rotated players yet still dominated games with their possession based brand of football.
In the seven games of the preliminary round, Fullife Football Academy never repeated the same lineup. Every new week , there will be twerks to their set up but two things never changed. Always playing with three at the back and their love for possession.
Fullife Football Academy will always entertain , their attacking return of 10 goals is the second best in Uyo zone. Defensively, they raked In 4 clean sheets from seven games conceding 4 goals.
Their Second placed finish in Uyo zone set up a Quater Final clash Vs the 3rd best in Onna Zone Unity Fc. The match will hold on Monday 2nd May 2022 at the Onna Township stadium.
