Galatasaray Coach Updates on Osimhen’s Injury
Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk gave an update on Victor Osimhen’s injury, as well as Baris Alper Yilmaz, who was also injured in the same match.
Osimhen, who has been a key player for Galatasaray this season, is expected to miss at least three games due to his injury. The 25-year-old striker has scored 10 goals and provided 5 assists but has been limited to just 13 games because of injuries. He was substituted in the 74th minute of Galatasaray’s match against Sivasspor due to the injury.
In a press conference before Galatasaray’s Europa League match against Malmo, Buruk confirmed that Osimhen will be out for about two weeks. This means he will miss the upcoming Europa League match and Super Lig games against Kayserispor and Trabzonspor.
“We are missing a lot,” Buruk said. “We want our players to return as soon as possible.”
Buruk also spoke about Yilmaz’s injury, which happened after a rough tackle. He was upset that the referee didn’t give a red card after Yilmaz’s foot was stepped on. Buruk said the referee should have reviewed the incident with VAR.
There are several injuries affecting the team, and Galatasaray is hoping for the return of their players soon
