Galatasaray Set to Make Big Money from Osimhen Unveiling

Galatasaray are planning to make huge money from the official unveiling of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, with the club expecting to earn around €5 million (₦8.5 billion) from ticket sales and merchandise.
Osimhen, who joined from Napoli for a record €75 million fee, will be presented to fans on Saturday, August 2, at RAMS Park in Istanbul. The event will take place before a pre-season friendly match against Italian club Lazio.
Turkish newspaper Fotomac reports that Galatasaray is hoping the excitement around Osimhen’s arrival will help recover part of the massive transfer fee. German winger Leroy Sané, who also recently joined the club, will be unveiled at the same event.
Tickets for the unveiling are already on sale, with the cheapest seat costing 1,300 Turkish Lira (₦49,000). A full stadium is expected, as fans rush to see the new signings.
Galatasaray are also preparing for high demand in club shops, with many supporters expected to buy Osimhen-themed jerseys, scarves, and other items.
Club officials say that the money raised on the day could cover up to 7% of Osimhen’s total transfer cost, which includes €40 million paid immediately and €35 million in instalments, along with a sell-on clause.
Although he is yet to play in his second spell at the club, Osimhen is already loved by Galatasaray fans. He scored 37 goals and gave 8 assists during a previous loan spell, helping the club win both the league and the Turkish Cup.
