Gattuso speaks on reported Osimhen move to Napoli
Napoli manager, Gennaro Gattuso has talked on the reported talks doing the rounds that the Coppa Italia winners have all but captured Victor Osimhen from Lille.
Various media outlets reported that the deal taking Victor Osimhen from French club, Lille to the Italian giants is all but done.
In fact, the reports suggested that the former Wolfsburg striker has agreed personal terms with the Partenopei and all that is left is just for Lille and Napoli to reach an agreement on a fee.
But Gattuso would not confirm the deal as he only hinted that his side would spend to improve their current squad.
“He [Osimhen] is currently a Lille player. I cannot comment,” Gattuso said as quoted by Goal.
“We will do little on the market, 70-80% [of players] will remain and whoever arrives will have to give us quality and quantity,” the former Sion manager stated.
“For this, we must raise the bar because many will remain and we must improve.”
