Genort Rohr Set For Refresher Course After AFCON

Super Eagles Head Coach, Genort Rohr will head for a refresher training course with Bayern Munich immediately after the conclusion of Nigeria’s campaign at the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.

President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick, who is also the 1st Vice President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) stated this on Monday while stressing that Rohr will remain as Eagles’ coach.

“He is a good coach and we want him to remain with us. That said, we will work together on what needs to be improved upon.

“There are some people that have been calling on me and the Federation to sack Gernot. But I am not going to do that.

“In fact, Gernot is going on a refresher training period with Bayern Munich after the AFCON tournament. We have a long-term plan with him.”

Nigeria will face Tunisia in Wednesday’s AFCON third place playoff at the Al-Salam stadium, 8pm.
