Genot Rohr: Nigeria needs stability to win AFCON title in Cote d’Ivoire
Former Super Eagles head coach Genot Rohr says Nigeria needs stability to be able to win the AFCON title in Cote d’Ivoire.
Rohr who is current coach of the Benin Republic shared his thoughts on the Super Eagles of Nigeria ahead of the 34th Africa Cup of Nations tournament with Osasu.
The Franco-German coach has maintained healthy links with Nigeria despite his unceremonious sack in 2021.
With the Super Eagles currently camped in Abu Dhabi, in preparation for the Nations Cup , here is the interview between Genot Rohr and Osasu Obiayiuwana
On Nigeria’s chances and the invited players
Rohr: Nigeria is one of the favourites, of course. I saw the list. So many great players and [with] experience.
On the need for stability
Rohr: The strikers are fantastic. They need stability to be complete.
Solution to lack of supply to attackers
Rohr: They can find the strikers with direct football.
On the Goalkeeping department
Rohr: Uzoho can do the job. I don’t know if there is a better one.
