Gernot Rohr speaks on Super Eagles 1-0 loss to Desert Foxes
Super Eagles technical manager Gernot Rohr has given his take on Nigeria’s 1-0 loss to Algeria in an international friendly played in Austria on Friday.
Nigeria fell to a 5th minute goal from a corner kick in a clash that they were largely the second best team.
The Eagles lacked the bite, urgency and couldn’t find the right passes or movement needed to penetrate Algeria’s well organised defence.
And after the match Rohr could only see positive from the game as he prepares his team for another clash against another Northern African opponents Tunisia.
“This is a very good test for us,” said Rohr.
“There are positives to pick from a tough game like this.
“Now we have to recover well and start to plan for the next game on Tuesday against another tough team.”
