Giannis Antetokounmpo records trible-double as Bucks end losing streak with victory over Raptors

Giannis Antetokounmpo recorded a triple-double to help the Milwaukee Bucks end their losing streak with a 128-104 victory over the Toronto Raptors at Scotiabank Arena. This win marked the Bucks’ first trip to Canada this season, and it came at a crucial time as the Raptors have been struggling, losing 13 of their last 14 games.

Antetokounmpo had a standout performance, finishing with 13 assists, 11 rebounds, and 11 points for his 49th career triple-double. He also set a season-high assist total with 10 assists in the first half, as the Bucks built a comfortable 19-point lead by halftime. Despite being one of the NBA’s leading scorers, with nearly 32 points per game, Giannis had one of his quieter scoring nights.

In the final minute of the first half, Antetokounmpo suffered a cut to his right pinky while attempting a chase-down block on R.J. Barrett. After a quick timeout to have his finger taped, he returned to the game and played most of the third quarter.

While Giannis set the tone, Damian Lillard also contributed significantly, ending a five-game shooting slump by scoring 25 points, including 5-for-8 from beyond the arc. Lillard also added three assists and shot 6-for-7 from the free-throw line.

The Bucks had a well-rounded team effort with all nine players in the regular rotation scoring. Gary Trent Jr. added 17 points, Bobby Portis Jr. scored 20, and Taurean Prince, filling in for Khris Middleton, contributed eight points and four assists. Brook Lopez also played well with 16 points.

For the Raptors, R.J. Barrett led the way with 25 points and 8 rebounds, while Scottie Barnes added 21 points.

This win is a crucial step for the Bucks as they look to build momentum and get back on track after their recent struggles.
