Giannis Antetokounmpo returns to Bucks lineup against Warriors
Two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo made a triumphant return to the Milwaukee Bucks lineup on Wednesday against the Golden State Warriors after sitting out their previous game due to a left Achilles injury.
Antetokounmpo’s absence from Monday’s game against the LA Clippers raised concerns, but his participation in shootaround and pregame activities on Wednesday indicated positive signs regarding his health.
Bucks coach Doc Rivers confirmed that Antetokounmpo was cleared to play without any restrictions, although the team planned to exercise caution with his minutes.
“There’s really no minutes restrictions, but we want to be smart tonight for sure,” Rivers stated before the game.
Antetokounmpo’s return adds significant firepower to the Bucks lineup, as he has been a dominant force throughout the season, averaging 30.8 points on an impressive 61.9% shooting in 59 games.
Despite Antetokounmpo’s absence in their previous matchup, the Bucks managed to extend their winning streak to six games, marking their longest streak since Rivers assumed the role of head coach in January.
With Antetokounmpo back in action, the Bucks look to maintain their momentum as they continue their pursuit of success in the remainder of the season.
