Giannis return fails to propel Bucks to victory in NBA Finals Game 1

Suns defeat the Bucks to gain early advantage in NBA Finals

Phoenix Suns overcame the Milwaukee Bucks at the Talking Stick Resort Arena 118-105 in Game 1 of the NBA Finals in spite of the return from injury of Giannis Antetokoumpo to go 1-0 up in the NBA Final series.

Phoenix Suns 36-year-old guard Chris Paul put up a brilliant performance in his first-ever NBA Finals, recording 32 points with 4 rebounds and 9 assists. He was aided by his supporting cast, as Devin Booker contributed 27 points, 2 rebounds and 6 assists, and Deandre Ayton put up 22 points and 19 rebounds in the game. After missing Games 5 and 6 of their Eastern Conference Finals to injury, Giannis Antetokoumpo was back on the court against the Phoenix Suns. The Greek Freak contributed 20 points with 17 rebounds and 4 assists as he tried to make an instant impact on his return from injury. Khris Middleton led the scoring for the Bucks with 29 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists.

Phoenix Suns have now won all three of their matches against the Milwaukee Bucks so far this season, adding the Game 1 win to the two victories during the regular season. Both sides will renew hostilities on Friday in Game 2.
