Giannis Shines as Bucks Beat Bulls
The Milwaukee Bucks are starting to find their form, and Giannis Antetokounmpo is leading the charge in the NBA regular season.
The Bucks defeated the Chicago Bulls 122-106 on Wednesday night at Fiserv Forum. Milwaukee, now 6-9, has won four of its last five games, bouncing back from a rough start to the season.
Giannis was unstoppable, scoring 41 points, grabbing nine rebounds, and dishing out eight assists while shooting 17-of-24 from the field. Damian Lillard added 20 points and 10 assists, and Brook Lopez contributed 21 points and solid defence.
For the Bulls, Zach LaVine led with 27 points, six assists, and five rebounds, but his efforts weren’t enough to stop Milwaukee.
Social media lit up with praise for Giannis after his dominant performance, especially his incredible 25-point third quarter, the highest-scoring quarter by any player this season.
- @SnellSZN: “Giannis is playing like a superhero right now. He’s literally unstoppable.”
- @KendrickPerkins: “Giannis just might be the most dominant offensive player this season. Straight power in the paint.”
- @TheLeadSM: “Points in the paint through 3 quarters: Giannis: 30, Bulls: 28. Ridiculous.”
Milwaukee’s strong start set the tone with a 16-0 run spanning the first and second quarters, helping them take a 12-point lead by halftime.
While Chicago stayed competitive thanks to LaVine, the Bucks’ depth and balance stood out. Lillard and Giannis attacked the lane, Lopez controlled the paint, and the bench stepped up with key three-pointers.
Milwaukee looks ready to climb the standings as their stars find their rhythm.
