Gift Orban on target for Gent in win over Charleroi
Super Eagles invitee finding form for Belgian side
Nigerian forward Gift Orban was on the scoresheet for KAA Gent as they claimed a comfortable 3-1 win over Charleroi in their Belgian league clash.
Despite his goal last week against Breidablik, Orban was left on the bench, with Tarik Tissoudali starting in his stead.
Tissoudali gave Gent the lead after only 18 minutes before Julien De Sart scored a second from the penalty spot in the 59th minute to double the side’s advantage.
Gift Orban added his name to the scoresheet in the 90th minute when Omri Gandelman played him in behind, and he fired home an effort to get a third goal for his side.
Charleroi pulled one back in the 97th minute when Marco Ilaimaharitra scored his fourth goal of the season.
Super Eagles defender Jordan Torunarigha featured from start to finish for Gent in the clash.
