Gombe United New Coach Umar Abdullahi Strengthens Squad with Two New Signings

Gombe United’s new coach, Umar Abdullahi, has strengthened his team by signing two new players for the second stanza of the 2024/25 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.

The new players are Johnson Ochuko and John Otomewo. The club announced their arrival on social media.

Umar Abdullahi, who was recently appointed as head coach after working as an assistant at Akwa United, is keen to guide the Savannah Scorpions back to the top-flight Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

Coach Umar Abdullahi has bid farewell to Akwa United FC and has been unveiled as the new Technical Adviser for Gombe United FC.

Gombe United are currently third in Group C with nine points at the end of the first stanza. They are hoping the new signings will boost their promotion chances.

The Savannah Scorpions will play their next league game against Jigawa Golden Stars at Pantami Stadium next week.
