Goodness Nwachukwu sets two-world records to win Gold in women’s Discus F42-44/61-64 at CWG

Goodness Nwachukwu has become the latest Nigerian gold medalist at the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Birmingham after breaking two world records to win the top prize in women’s Discus F42-44/61-64.

The Nigerian para-athlete was in the world of her as she dominated the category by a landslide.

Goodness Nwachukwu started like a house on fire, throwing 34.84m in her first attempt – a throw which instantly became the world record.

In her second attempt, she broke the first throw with a 36.86m throw which instantly became the new World Record.

She left the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham with a loud ovation winning the gold and breaking two world records in the process.
