Governor Mbah Rewards Rangers Players, Officials After Historic NPFL Title Win

Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah has rewarded the players and officials of Rangers International after the club won the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title.
The governor made the announcement during a state banquet held on Monday night after the team’s trophy parade in Enugu.
Rangers won the league title to become only the second club in NPFL history to lift the trophy nine times.
Speaking to the players, coaches and guests at the event, Governor Mbah praised the team for their achievement and announced a reward package worth ₦150 million.
He said ₦100 million would be shared among the players, while ₦50 million would go to members of the club’s management.
The governor also presented Certificates of Occupancy (C of O) for plots of land in Enugu to all players and management staff.
Mbah further promised to upgrade the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium before Rangers begin their CAF Champions League campaign next season.
According to him, the improvements will also help preparations for the 2026 Coal City Games sports festival.
The announcements were warmly received by the players and officials as celebrations continued for Rangers’ historic ninth league title.
Rangers will now turn their attention to continental football as they prepare to represent Nigeria in next season’s CAF Champions League.
