Governor Tanko spalshes ₦48m on NWPL champions Nasarawa Amazons

The governor of Nasarawa State Tanko Almakura has rewarded the Nigeria Women Premier League champions Nasarawa Amazons handsomely.

The governor hosted the women champions today at the state house in Lafia at a colorful ceremony where he rewarded them with the sum of fourty-eight million naira (N48,000,000) on 2016/2017.

The Lafia girls defeated Delta Queens 1-0 in the final of women super four stagged at the Samuel Ogbemidia Stadium, Benin City earlier this month.

Before the final match against the Delta Queens, the Nasarawa Amazons had defeated Bayelsa Queens 1-0, Rivers Angel 2-1 and played a 1-1 draw against Delta Queens a result that qualified both teams for the final clash.
