Governor Ugwuanyi charges Ogunbote, Owumi, Onu and Ezeaku to return Rangers to the top

The governor of Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, has charged the newly appointed officials of Rangers International club to return the 2015-16 Nigeria Professional League champions to the top following rough 2016-17 season.

On Wednesday at the statehouse in Enugu, Gbenga Ogunbote, Davidson Owumi, Amobi Ezeaku and Festus Onu were unveiled as the Flying Antelopes’ head coach, general manager, team manager and chairman respectively. And the governor during the unveiling charged the newly-appointed officials of Rangers to work as a team in order to win trophies.

“I charge you both to work together and bring this team which is the pride of the southeast and Nigeria back to winning ways which I know it is possible with cooperation from both parties,” the Enugu State governor told the new club officials following the ceremony to officially unveiled them to the public.

Gbenga Ogunbote helped Enyimba qualify for CAF Confederation Cup after finishing third in the league last season, David Owumi was a former Rangers and Warri Wolves CEO.
