Great Britain star praises Nigeria’s D’Tigress for outstanding performance in Paris Olympics

Following their remarkable performance at the recently concluded Olympic Games in Paris, Great Britain’s basketball star Holly Winterburn has commended Nigeria’s D’Tigress for their impressive showing.

The Nigerian team stunned the basketball world by reaching the quarter-finals despite being the lowest-ranked team in the competition.

Their journey began with a victory against Australia in the opening game, followed by a narrow loss to host nation France in the second game.

However, they bounced back in their third game, securing a win against Canada. Ultimately, the Rene Wakama-coached team faced a formidable opponent in the United States in the quarter-finals, where they bowed out of the tournament.

D’Tigress’s performance in Paris has undoubtedly elevated their status in the global basketball community, and they have set a new benchmark for future competitions.
