Greater Tomorrow Academy and Heaven’s Race FA chase history in AKSFA powered Academies Championship final
The first-ever Obong Isong Isang Memorial Academies Championship is gearing up for an exciting finale on Saturday, November 9, 2024, as Greater Tomorrow Academy and Heaven’s Race FA chase history in the final match by 3pm.
Before the main event, Virgin International Football Academy will meet Full Life FA in the third-place playoff at 1pm, held at the Uyo Township Stadium.
So far, a total of thirty-one goals have been scored across seventeen matches, with the game between Heaven’s Race FA and Nordic FA seeing the most action, producing seven goals, the highest of the week-long Championship organized by the Akwa Ibom State Football Association.
In the race for the top scorer award, Christian Ekong from Heaven’s Race FA leads with five goals, while his nearest rival, Udiana Bassey from Greater Tomorrow FA, has scored two goals. Both will clash in the final, making it an exciting match to watch.
As the teams prepare for the final, Coach Samuel of Greater Tomorrow Academy and Coach Universe of Heaven’s Race Academy are confident in their players’ ability to compete for the title, which sets the stage for a closely contested game.
