Griffin expected to miss fortnight with quad injury
Blake Griffin is expected to miss at least two weeks with a partially torn left quad tendon suffered in the Los Angeles Clippers’ Christmas Day win against the Lakers.
Griffin suffered the injury on a drive in the first quarter in a game during which he managed a double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds.
According to the team, an MRI on Saturday revealed the injury.
After undergoing treatment, Griffin is expected to be reevaluated in two weeks, which could mean a seven-game absence.
The All-Star forward is averaging 23.2 points and 8.7 rebounds per game.
