NBA Round Up: Hawks outlast Knicks in fourth OT, Cavs beat Thunder
The Atlanta Hawks prevailed against the New York Knicks in a marathon encounter, while reigning champions the Cleveland Cavaliers saw off the Oklahoma City Thunder.
A fourth overtime period was required as the Hawks outlasted the Knicks 142-139 in the NBA on Sunday.
Kyrie Irving and LeBron James combined to see the Cavs past Russell Westbrook and the Thunder 107-91.
The San Antonio Spurs suffered back-to-back defeats, beaten by the Dallas Mavericks 105-101.
Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors overcame the Portland Trail Blazers 113-111.
MILLSAP LIFTS HAWKS
Paul Millsap was the hero for the Hawks, scoring the game-winning basket with 27 seconds remaining in the fourth OT.
Millsap finished with a season-high 37 points after 61Â minutes of court time.
Not even Carmelo Anthony’s season-high 45 points was enough for the visiting Knicks.

IRVING AND LEBRON INSPIRE CAVS
The Cavs duo produced the goods as Cleveland won back-to-back games.
Irving scored 29 points, while James had 25 points and 14 rebounds in a double-double display.
Thunder star Westbrook posted his 24th triple-double of the season via 20 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists.
MAVERICKS SNAP SKID IN SAN ANTONIO
After 12 consecutive losses to the Spurs on the road, the Mavericks finally won in San Antonio.
Seth Curry’s 24 points helped the Mavs, while the Spurs were led by Kawhi Leonard’s 24 points.

Paul George scored 33 points as the Indiana Pacers overcame the Houston Rockets 120-101, while the Chicago Bulls defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 121-108.
The Orlando Magic stunned the Toronto Raptors 114-113 and the Washington Wizards topped the New Orleans Pelicans 107-94.

The Cavaliers travel the Mavericks in Dallas on Monday, while the Boston Celtics host the Detroit Pistons.
