Guardiola outrageously linked with Real Madrid
Despite the fact that Pep Guardiola’s future seems to lie at Manchester City from next season onwards, his name is still being linked with other clubs. The most outrageous rumour doing the rounds currently suggests he is on Real Madrid’s radar. According to Catalan newspaper ARA, the Bayern Munich boss is allegedly a target for ‘Los Blancos’.
Guardiola has stated on more than one occasion that he would never coach the Madrid giants as the two parties would not see eye to eye, besides the fact that the Bernabéu faithful would be most disapproving of a former Barcelona coach in their sacred dugout.
Pep has a contract with the German champions until June 2016, but despite a concerted effort by Bayern’s most influential figures such as Franz Beckenbauer to encourage the Catalan to extend his current deal, all signs point to Guardiola becoming a Premier League manager come the summer.
